ESR of Mn2+ in RbF and KF

In the quenched RbF : Mn2+ crystals, spectrum III4 ($g{=}2.006\pm 0.001$, $|D|{=}(108\pm 2)\times 10^{-4}$ cm-1, $A_{\text{Mn}}{=}-(88\pm 2)\times 10^{-4}$ cm-1, ${A_{s}}^{F}{=}(11.5\pm 0.4)\times 10^{-4}$ cm-1, ${\text{A}_{p}}^{F}{=}(2.9\pm 0.3)\times 10^{-4}$ cm-1) is observed at room temperature being overlapped with spectrum III2 ($g{=}2.005\pm 0.001$, $|D|{=}(202\pm 3)\times 10^{-4}$ cm-1, $A_{\text{Mn}}{=}-(89\pm 2)\times 10^{-4}$ cm-1, ${A_{s}}^{F}{=}(11.7\pm 0.5)\times 10^{-4}$ cm-1, ${A_{p}}^{F}{=}(3.0\pm 0.4)\times 10^{-4}$ cm-1) at 77 K. The symmetry axes of these spectra coincide with the cubic axis of the crystal. Spectrum III4 is attributed to $\text{Mn}^{2+}$-(400) site vacancy pairs ad spectrum III2 to $\text{Mn}^{2+}$-(200) site vacancy pairs. The spectrum with axial symmetry in KF is attributed to $\text{Mn}^{2+}$-(400) site vacancy pairs rather than to (200) site ones.
