CoFe nanocrystalline films have been grown by sputtering. The magnetic properties of the samples were studied by transverse susceptibility measurements. Different theoretical approaches are used to explain the experimental data, depending on grain size and exchange energy-to-local anisotropy energy ratio. We have determined the local anisotropy constant and textures of the samples which are related to the experimental grain size obtained by transmission electron microscopy.
