Colloidal solutions containing polymer beads of 230 nm in diameter have been spin-coated to investigate the effect of shear on the arrangements of beads. Based on Fourier transformations and radial distribution functions analyses, a diagram, which shows the arrangement of beads as a function of rpm, has been constructed. We find that, in a certain range of spin-coating speed, the shear stress has an effect of inducing ordering into the colloidal system. Phenomenologically, in the ordering induced range, the Reynold number is understood as having the attribute of the supercooling.
