Bulk MgB2 was prepared by solid-state chemical sintering reaction using NaBH4 and MgH2 as starting materials under N2 flow. The superconductive phase transition was observed at 39 K and the superconductive properties were comparable to those of a commercial product. Fine line patterns of MgB2 with $T_{\text{c}} = 36$ K were fabricated on the surface of the pressed discs of mixed raw materials by ytterbium fiber laser irradiation.
