We have calculated the voltage, $V$, characteristics of the differential tunnel conductance $G(V)$ for two general set-ups of junctions involving normal and superconducting charge-density-wave metals (CDWMs) in the external magnetic field $H$. The first one is non-symmetrical having a CDWM electrode biased with respect to a ferromagnetic (FM) one. Calculations show that paramagnetic splitting occurs between spin-up and spin-down components of $G(V)$, similar to what happens when a superconducting (S) electrode is used instead of the CDWM one. The second set-up is symmetric (CDWM–CDWM), which is achievable, for example, by the break-junction technique. At $H \neq 0$, $G(V)$ will also be spin-split, in contrast to what is appropriate to the S–S case. In both cases, the forms of $G(V)$ depends on the phases of the CDWM order parameter.
