Tunnel quasiparticle currents J and conductances G in three-layer (CDWM-I-CDWM) structures involving partially gapped metals with charge density waves (CDWs) were analysed in the general set-up when parameters of CDWs in electrodes are different. The dielectric gap |Σ| appears only on the nested parts of the Fermi surface (FS). Hence, the junctions possess both the features of the CDWM-insulator-CDWM sandwich and the CDWM-insulator-Normal metal one. The current components describing the latter lead to the formation of peaks at V = ±|Σ| in G (V). It is shown that those peaks split in the external magnetic field H. The peculiarities of G (V) at V = ±2|Σ| do not split. Thus, J(V) and G(V) differ substantially from their counterparts in junctions of the superconductor-insulator-superconductor type. General expressions are given for arbitrary temperature, T, and voltage, V. The analytical formulae were obtained for T = 0. The splitting may be used, in particular, to prove the existence of the CDW admixture in high-T_c superconducting oxides and to study various properties of normal partially gapped CDW metals.
