The formulae for calculating the magnetic field produced by the finite size helical coil with rectangular cross section [J. Todoroki: Kakuyugo Kenkyu 57 (1987) 318] are extended to the case with an arbitrary polygonal cross section. The formulae for the calculation of the vector potential are also presented.
