Preliminary investigation into sonochemical treatment of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) was carried out in various liquids at temperatures up to 473 K, and the dechlorination of PVC was analyzed by thermogravimetry. The results indicated that dechlorination was observed and was affected by the kind of liquid used and the treatment temperature.
