In this study, minimum mean-square error (MMSE) and blind equalization schemes were employed to improve bit-error rate (BER) and to mitigate intersymbol interference (ISI) generated during storage and retrieval processes of two-dimensional data in a digital holographic data storage system. Experimental results of MMSE and blind equalization show that the BER performances were improved significantly compared with those before equalization.
