The total internal bremsstrahlung (IB) spectra accompanying electron capture in 7Be is measured using a NaI (T1) scintillation spectrometer. Corrections for background and absorption are made. For analysis of the experimental data, a response matrix with dimensions of 46 energy bins and 140 channels is constructed. With the help of a detector assembly response matrix, the true IB energy spectrum is obtained by iterative unfolding of the pulse-height distribution for comparison with theoretical spectra. Also, the response matrix is used directly to fold the theoretical probabilities for comparison with the experimental pulse-height distribution. After all the necessary corrections are made, the experimental results are compared with the theoretical spectra reported by Morrison and Schiff and Martin and Glauber (1958). All the comparisons reveal that our experimental data are in agreement with both theories.
