Electrodeposition Study on a TiO2 Single Crystal Electrode: Pt on a Nb-doped TiO2(110)

Pt was successfully electrodeposited on a Nb-doped TiO2(110) electrode from a solution of 1 mM K2PtCl4 + 50 mM H2SO4 using single-pulse chronoamperometry. The morphology of the deposited Pt nanoparticles was sensitive to the deposition potential and holding time. A novel method for the preparation of metal particles on a TiO2 single-crystal surface in a controlled manner has been proposed.
