The basic characteristics of a spark plug washer type piezoelectric force sensor are investigated for measuring the indicated mean effective pressure. The sensitivity and the natural frequency of the sensor are revealed, and some constants in the charge amplifier are be able to set, then the experiments with the facility are became possible. As the results, seeming sensitivity of the sensor was changed with the time constant of the measuring system and the configurations of the pressure wave generated with the calibration facility.
