The nitrogen components (NO, NO<SUB>2</SUB>, N<SUB>2</SUB>O and NH<SUB>3</SUB>) analyzer has been developed utilizing Quantum Cascade Laser (QCL). The QCL can emit coherent light in a mid-infrared region where these nitrogen components have strong absorption. This laser optics configuration can give us a super fine resolution of the mid-infrared spectrum. Therefore, utilizing this spectrometer it is possible to reduce the interference caused by the spectral overlap of co-existing gases in engine exhaust gas. In this report, improvement of the response time of NH<SUB>3</SUB> measurement has been attempted. Moreover to achieve wide measurement ranges two detectors with two different light path lengths have been used.
