A new parking-aid system using an All-Around View system (AVS) that supports multiple turns is proposed. This system calculates the parking path depending on the steering angle at the initial position of the parking maneuver. This paper presents a method of parking path calculation and investigates the number of required turns and space to complete the parking maneuver. This method is able to find a path even for small parking spaces. Finally, the human-machine-interface with which the driver can set the target position and select the parking path on the AVS screen is described.
