In this paper, the traffic hazard map, which shows hazardous locations, was constructed by using sudden deceleration events collected from about 1,500 probe-cars. By comparing hazardous locations on the hazard map with actual high-accident locations, the validity of the map was verified. Also, by developing the system that informs a driver on hazardous locations on the basis of the hazard map, the effect of the information provision was examined.
