The Computer-aided three dimentional reconstruction (CTDR) of cochlea was named by Prof. I. Sando in 1987. CTDR has been used for the structural observation of the detailed relationship between the target cells of cochlea and adjacent cells, using histological specimens of temporal bone and specimens of TEM.<BR>In this study, the authors have attempted to show the cochlear picture of CTDR on the normal guinea pig, by the method which has been described in other previous papers, using our histological specimens. However, the magnification of specimens were very low, as only ×4 of both cochleae and ×10 of left cochlea. As a result, the authors only could obtain the bird views of both cochleae, the running figures of basal turn of the cochlea, and the reletionship between ear drums and chochlea.
