One hundred and fifteen tuberculous lesions obtained by surgical resection from 115 patients were studied bacteriologically with smear and culture. Results obtained are as follows:1) Those who had been tubercle bacilli negative within 3 months prior to their operations were found to be bacilli positive by smear and by culture from their resected specimens-72.7%.2) The TB bacilli negative group had quite a few complications while the TB bacilli positive group had many occurences of the complications.3) It was noted even though a case had been proved as a drugresistant, if the other effective medicines were available the case was still hopefully treated with the rest of the medications to prevent complications. The author recognized a fact that the occurence of complications were related with the development of the lesion rather than the problem of TB bacilli resistance.
