The authors investigated 29 cases of pulmonary TB that became "opaquec" in the whole lung-fields of one side and showed interesting findings in x-ray tests.Out of the 29 cases, number of male was 13 and that of female was 16.Appearance of the opaque lung was more frequent in the left side; 28 cases in left side and 1 case in right side.By the investigation of their bronchus in 22 cases, stenosis was found in 18 cases and ectasy in all cases.Vital capacity was under 2, 000 cc in all cases. In 18 cases, it was under 1, 500 cc and among these cases, 2 cases were under 1, 000 cc. The vital capacity was remarkably decreased in opaque lung compared to the opposite side.By the investigation of E. C. G. in 21 cases, right ventricular hypertrophy was found in 1 case and incomplete right bundle branch block in 8 cases.Subsequent to the thoracoplasty in 11 cases, the result of the test of tubercle bacilli for more than one year after the operation gave the following results; negative in 5 cases and slightly positive cultures in 4 cases.
