A case report of Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans is described on cytological findings. A sixty-six year old femal visited the clinic with complaint of vulvar tumor. Biopsy of this tumor was histologically diagnosed as Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans arising in mons pubis. Imprint smear preparation consist of histiocytic cells, mono-and multinuclear, and small numbers of spindle cells. Isolated tumor cells are scattered on the smear and cytoplasma is cyanophilic. Nuclei are round or oval and eccentric, with course chromatin. Intranuclear vacuoles like inclusion bodies are noted. Nucleolei are observed in many of the cells, but not so prominent. Electron microscopic findings indicated well-developed organella and nuclear inclusion-like structure containing cytoplasma elements. Cytochemical staining revealed that tumor cells are alkaline phosphatase positive.
