Recently, the technology for preserving dried foods for certain types of potatoes and beans has become significantly enhanced.These dried foods were then developed as manufactured foods, which have become staples for all of Japan.<BR>In this paper, the transition of certain dried foods involving specific types of potatoes and beans in the patent gazette from the early Showa era are considered.
