A case of anterior displacement of mandibular condyle with adhesions and degeneration of temporomandibular joint disk is presented. A 48-year-old woman visited our department with the complaint that her mandible had gradually shifted to the right. In imaging findings, plane radiography, panoramic radiography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imagings, and 67Gascintigraphy, we did not find the presence of any lesions of developmental anormalities and tumors. Arthrography and arthroscopy of the left temporomandibular joint showed adhesions of both joint spaces under the articular eminence. We performed diskectomy and high-condylectomy of the left temporomandibular joint under general anesthesia. For two year after operations, the patient has been symptoms free without any recurrence.
