Electropolymerization of thiophene-3-boroles was successfully carried out in the presence of BF3-OEt2 as roles of supporting electrolyte and lowering their oxidation potentials. The obtained polythiophenes having borole moieties showed broadening energy band due to the extended conjugated system via the borole side chain.
