Team approach for severely handicapped infants with feeding difficulties is very important, because many of them receive services from several kinds of institutions and specialists. The state of specialists and institutions concerned with feeding problems and cooperation among them were examined through questionnaire for the families of those infants. Results showed that nearly half received services from more than two institutions or specialists and that the families felt the benefits of these services, but a lack of cooperation. In addition, the processes of two cases were studied-one case approached at both a special pre-school and a handicapped children's hospital, the other case whose family could not accept tube feeding. It was suggested that the important roles of a speech-language-hearing therapist in a team involved coordinating the team with a specific purpose and speaking to team members on behalf of the family.
