The Evaluation and Extraction of Elements in the Place for Creating the Place Brandings in the area of Nagoya Station

In this paper "Place Blanding" is defined as the branding for cities and regions. The objective of this paper is to clarify the relationship between Place Branding and application method based on finding the structure of spacious resources and those evaluations.Nagoya station and its neighbors were investigated because NSACDA has promoted the movement of town planning. Questionnaire survey was carried out for visitors using 5-point evaluation scale of 10 items-19 indices questions concerning the spacious resources. The results were analyzed by the factor analysis and the following 4 factors were gained : convenient factor , safety factor , amenity factor and creation factor.The related factor depended on the visitor's vocation and departure place. Relationship between factors and evaluation structure for each visitor's attribute were introduced by the covariance structural analysis.The arrangement of spacious resources based on there obtained relationship and evaluation structure enable to apply the resources effectively and transmit the branding concept when the concept in the Place Branding is effected in the spacious resources.
