Two separate equations, one cubic in <I>K</I> and the other quadratic in ε, have been developed for calculating <I>K</I> and ε of molecular complexes independently of each other. The equations on testing with various spectrophotometric data yielded values of <I>K</I> and ε which agree with those obtained by others using well known procedures.
