Electron transfer theory at tunnel semiconductor electrode was derived from the double adiabatic perturbation theory. The cathodic current of Ce4+ with very positive redox potential was measured at highly doped SnO2 electrode. The rearrangement energy of 0.65 eV for Ce4+ was estimated from the relationship of transfer coefficient <I>vs.</I> electrode potential. Large electron transfer rate in the high overvoltage region can be explained in terms of the contribution of excited vibrational states in the first coordination sphere into electron transfer.
