The molecular structure of "bishydropulegone," a reductive dimer of pulegone, was determined as (1<I>R</I>,3′a<I>R</I>,4<I>R</I>,6′<I>R</I>,7′a<I>S</I>)-7-′a-hydroxy-2′,2′,3′,3′,4,6′-hexamethylspiro[cyclohexane-1,1′-indan]-2-one by X-ray crystallographic analysis.
