• The treatment of arylbiguanides with ethylene carbonates afforded 1-aryl-4,6-diimino-2-oxo-hexahydro-<I>s</I>-triazines, which were then readily converted into 1-arylisocyanuric acid by hydrolysis with concentrated hydrochloric acid.
