• Iron(III), chromium(III), and cobalt(III) chelates with 1,4,7-triazacyclononane-<I>N</I>,<I>N</I>′,<I>N</I>″-triacetate, 1,4,7-triazacyclodecane-<I>N</I>,<I>N</I>′,<I>N</I>″-triacetate, and 2-(aminomethyl)-2-methyl-1,3-propanediamine-<I>N</I>,<I>N</I>′,<I>N</I>″-triacetate were synthesized and characterized by means of the electronic absorption spectra in an aqueous solution. As they are noncharged chelates with a C<SUB>3</SUB> symmetry, their spectra resemble those of facial tris(glycinato) complexes.
