From 1976 to 1981, 131 cases with the ruptured intracranial aneurysm were treated and data from these patients, such as age, aneurysmal location, preoperative clinical grading, timing of operation and postoperative ADL, were stored in computer and used for analysis. The analysis showed that postoperative ADL was strongly correlated with the preoperative grading and timing of operation.<BR>Recently ruptured aneurysmal patients were treated with Y-9179, brain protective agent, postoperatively. Those cases were also reported and discussed its usefulness.
