Ring injury of the finger is a special type of the avulsion or degloving injury. In our three cases, the degree of their injury and the therapy were different from each other. We used microsurgical technique for one of our cases, and the result was very satisfactory.<BR>Case 1. “Decubitus” ulcer caused by pressure from a ring : A 56-year-old woman visited our clinic because her right middle finger had been swollen due to the pressure from a ring. The ring was removed with airtome, and we found a pressure ulcer beneath the ring. The wound healed primarily within three weeks.<BR>Case 2. Complete degloving of all soft tissue without tendons : A 37-year-old man was caught his ring on his left middle finger on the edge when he jumped down to the ground from a body of a truck. Primary abdominal pedicle flap method was carried out, but the result was not so good.<BR>Case 3. Complete avulsion of all soft tissue with the damage to both radial and ulnar digital arteries : A 53-year-old man was brought to our clinic sustaining a ring avulsion injury on his left ring finger. He was caught his ring on the edge of a heavy box as he was putting it down to the ground. Radial digital artery was anastomosed with microsurgical technique, and the circulation was recovered immediately. The functional and cosmetic result was very satisfactory.
