1. Ehrlich ascites tumor cells were inoculated on the right side back of mice, procedure of which was named conditional transplant or"A"transplant. The tumor cells were also done on the left side; "B"transplant. Interval between"A"and"B"were 0 to 20 days. Groups of 7-14 days interval revealed tumor growth of"B", though retarded in relation to the growth of"A". In 20 days interval group, "B"never grew.
2. Expecting some change in"B"response, "A"transplant was made by irradiated tumor cells. This was resulted in the same response of"B"transplant ; rejection was never taken place earier than that in the above experiment.
3. Hewever, in even 20 days interval group, irradiation or administration of immunosuppressant (azathiopurine) to the host animal prior to"B"transplantation made the transprant to grow.
