Although much is known about the effects of changes electrolyte and water balance on pottasium, the quantitative relationships between body composition and the concentration of potassium have not been established.<BR>1. So histopathological study of experimental hyperkalaemia and hypokaemia using rats has been performed, the former is A group and the latter is B group.<BR>2. In the heart, marked granular degeneration of muscle fibers and scattered necrotic foci of myocardium were observed in A group and vacuole degeneration in, B group.<BR>3. In the lung, marked defloratus hemorrhage and emphysema at A group and congestive edema at B group.<BR>4. In kidney, marked granular degeneration of distal tubes in A group and vacuole degenelation of proximal tubes in B group.
