Therapeutic effect of aspoxicillin on infectious diseases in the field of otorhinolaryngology.

Aspoxicillin (ASPC, TA-058), a new penicillin derivative, was administered to 17 patients with otorhinolaryngological infections. A clinical study of the therapeutic effectiveness and safety showed the following.1. The efficacy rate were 76.5% (13/17).2. The bacteriological efficacy rate was 63.6% (7/11).3. Drug eruption was observed in one of 17 patients treated with ASPC.4. ASPC is a very useful antibiotic for otorhinolaryngologic infections.
