Two cases of giant mixed tumor of the parotid gland are reported. The patients were females, 58 and 65 years of age. The clinical manifestation was only swelling of the infraauricular and lateral cervical areas without facial nerve palsy. The tumors could be extirpated easily. Pathological examination showed benign mixed tumor. No recurrences have occurred in either case.Benign mixed tumor of the salivary gland is a slow-growing tumor. The neoplasm increases steadily in size, and after a long time it becomes gigantic and may undergo malignant changes. Radiation, chemotherapy and enucleation of the tumor are not effective, but neoplasms that are completely removed surgically do not recur, and the patient is cured.
