Primary malignant melanoma of the left vocal cord was diagnosed in a 56-year-old who had complained hoarsness.He was treated by partial laryngectomy and BCG immunotherapy. Three months after surgery, intracranial metastasis occurred. The intracranial tumor wa resected and irradiation therapy administered. Although BCG immunotherapy was repeated, he developed multiple metastases and died 22 months after the onset of hoarseness.
