• The new allergy prevention drug N-(3, 4-dimethoxycinnamoyl) anthranilic acid (N-5') was effective in 70 percent of 20 patients with type I allergic rhinitis due to house dust antigen.The clinical efficacy of this drug was evident in 2 weeks and reached a plateau in 6 weeks. Laboratory results were not affected by this drug. There were mild subjective side effects in two patients.
