In this electromyographic experiment only tonic element of anticus was discussed. Matured rabbits, given local anesthesia, were used for the investigation.It is well known that the electrical activity of anticus is began from the end of inspiration and continues until the end of expiration. On the other hand, continuous discharge during respiration was recorded at the same time.In other words, there were not only phasic element but tonic element with action potential of anticus and the latter was well seen in times of quiet respiration and above all in local anesthesia.It is possible assumption that the role of it's element on respiratory function is directly concerned in Bass mixing within lung.
