Two cases of intraosseous ganglion occured in the tibial end.

Reports of intraosseous ganglion are gradually increasing with the appreciation of its existence. We report two cases in the distal end of the tibia with some discussion.Case 1: A 48-year-old man presented with a history of intermittent aching discomfort in his right ankle for several months. X-ray revealed a well difined cystic lesion in the medial malleolus of the right tibia.Case 2: A 32-year-old woman had intermittent pain in the right ankle for the last five years. X-ray demonstrated a multiloculated cyst in the distal end of the right tibia.In Both cases curettage and bone grafting were done. The cysts were located in the bone and there was no communication between the cysts and the adjacent joints. We diagnosed them as intraosseous ganglion by histologic examination.
