A case report of Eccrine poroma of palm.

A 59-year-old woman had noticed a tumor in her left palm for the past 5 years. She had not noted any pain and had been left without further treatment. Because of the gradual increase in its size, she was admitted to the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Saiseikai Fukuoka General Hospital. Upon palpation, the tumor in her left palm was approximately 4×2.5×2cm in diameter without any signs of inflammation. Radiological and echographical examinations failed to demonstrate any abnormalities except for the fine network of tumor vessels and tumor stain in the angiography. The tumor was removed without any difficulty. The tumor was composed of elongated cells which were lined as in honey comb structures and showed occasionally hyperchromasia of the nuclei and mitotic appearence with the considerable presense of blood vessels. Histological diagnosis was Eccrine poroma.
