Isosorbide dinitrate tape (ISDN tape) applied on random pattern flaps in rats resulted in effective prevention of flap necrosis. ISDN tape is clinically available and its long-lasting vasodilating action has been proved. So, when a flap is in trouble, simple application of ISDN tape might help its salvage.
