The intensity of the Beta-ray from the radioactive isotope depends upon the thickness of the medium through which it penetrates. .A method of measuring the sliver evenness continuously will be obtained, if we make use of the above-mentioned phenomenon.<BR>The new evenness tester which we have developed has a characteristic feature, and the mass variation in the sliver is easily measured. In the present situation, the feeding velocity of the sample is limited by the capacity of the detector of the radioactivity. However, it is not an essential obstacle for practical use.
