It is the aim of this paper to establish a theory on automatic control of the warp let-off mechanism.<BR>The frequency response is obtained by numerical calculation with the present typical power looms, The conclusions are as follows :<BR>(1) When let-off warps have tension irregularity, the number of oscillations of which is more than 40-150 cycles per min., the automatic control mechanism has no effect at all.<BR>(2) Tension irregularity of warps decreases to 1/10 when the oscillations are within 5 and 7 cycles per min., and to 1/10<SUP>4</SUP> when they are 0.1 cycle per min.
