1) The exocytosis mechanism of catecholamine from pig adrenal medulla was molecular biologically examined using immunological techniques.<BR>2) Catecholamine-storing vesicles membrane was prepared from pig adrenal medulla by the sucrose density gradient method (0.3-2.0 M) and the freeze and thawing method. The chromomembrin B was purified from the vesicles membrane. The vesicles or the membrane was treated by antisera againsst chromomembrin B and DOPA. And then, catecholamine combined to chromomembrin B was determined.<BR>3) The binding affinity of chromomembrin B to catecholamine was activated by antisera. These results suggested that the chromomembrin B is catecholamine carrier protein in the membrane of catecholamine-storing vesicles.<BR>4) The secretion mechanism of catecholamine is discussed.
