• Epidemic of tuberculosis in Japan started from Ishikawa Prefecture in the beginning of this century. Since then, Ishikawa Prefecture maintained the top rank of tuberculosis mortality rate among all prefectures in Japan until 1943, and since 1947, tuberculosis mortality rate in.
