• Human type tubercle bacilli were infected intratracheally into 66 rabbits which were subsequently treated with TB1 in varying manners upon confirmation of their experimental infection. The changes in the lesions produced by the treatment were observed by X-ray. After completion of the treatment which was continued for 5 week, the rabbits were sacrificed and autopsied. The effect of the treatment was evaluated on the basis of the pathological and histological findings of viscera and the findings of the quantitative culture tests of their tuberculous lung tissues. The results are as follows:
