• Leaves taken from log sprouts of Zelkova serrata were cultured on MS medium containing half strength nitrogenous compounds.CPPU (10-5-10-4M) induced adventitious buds, but the effect of CPPU was inhibited by NAA or IBA.Some shoots were rooted on half strength Durzan and Lopushanski medium containing 5×10-6M IBA. Acclimatization of plantlets was successful.
