• Relationship between the low temperature and, rhinitis caused by chemicals was studied. Experimentil rhinitis was produced by introducing 0.4c.c. of 5p.c. formalin solution into the rabbit's nose and the rabbit was confined in the low temperature chamber of -25°C--35°C.<BR>After 24 hours'stay, no difference was observed between the rabbit kept in the coldroom and the control animal kept at room temperature after the same experimental treatment. After a week, during which time the experimental animal was dayly put into the coldroom to stay during the daytime, it showed definite signs of subacute inflammation persisting, while control animal in the room temperature had already recovered.
