Oscillation in Surface pH of the Physarum Plasmodium

The surface pH of the Physarum plasmodium oscillates with the same period but opposite phase relative to the tensile force production. The peak-to-peak amplitude of the pH waves is usually of the order of 0.1 pH unit or less. No stretch activation is found with pH oscillation.
