1. The author reports a case of epignathus associated with intracranical teratoma in a prematurely born female infant.2. The epignathus arising from the upper lip comprised ecto and mesodermal tissue.3. The intracranial teratoma located at the base of the skull anterior to the sella turcica consisted of three germinal layers.4. No macroscopic connection was recognized between these two lesions.5. The origin and inter-relationship of the two lesions were discussed with a survey of the related Japanese literature.
